Nigeria Trip 2010

As some of you may already know I spent the last 3 weeks in Nigeria.  I traveled from my home town/village of Mopa, Kogi state, to Abuja, Lagos, and Kaduna just to name a few places.  I originally went for the wedding of one of my cousins, but if you know anything about me, I can turn any vacation trip into a cause to conduct business.  So I was frantically making calls and sending text messages to my friends and family members across the country to set up meetings and conference calls with anyone who would listen to what I had to say and take a moment to watch my reel.

Over the next few weeks I’ll be posting 10 of my favorite pictures that detail my journey across the nation, and giving you a background of what was going on at the time I took the pictures.  Last year when I traveled to Nigeria, with all the hustle and bustle on the set of the video shoot I lost my camera, along with all the photos I had taken of my friends and family members as well as of the beautiful scenery.  I did not get a replacement camera until the morning of my flight.  The camera I decided to go with was the Canon T2i, so I basically learned how to shoot with this camera in the airports and on the airplanes on the way to Nigeria!

So this is the first picture in the Amsterdam Airport of the vessel I’m about to board that would take me to Abuja.
